Power supply to Rupavahini disconnected for defaulting bill

The power supply to Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) has been disconnected for defaulting the electricity bill for the month of November, a CEB official said.

He said the SLRC has defaulted a bill amounting to Rs. 5.5 million. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)

Check all the govt. occupied buildings, MP's offices, Air Ports, Ports, Nelum Tower, CMC etc and find out how much is pending. If all these are collected we do not have to pay any increase in tariff

I cannot understand how institutions are run if they cannot plan their annual reports on expenditure and meet their commitments ..paying up your bills is part of the annual cost of maintenance .confusing that it came out only now ..Natural outcome was no revenue to run the country ..
