Colombo, March 27 (Daily Mirror) - The Mount Lavinia Criminal Investigation Bureau is conducting an intensive investigation into the murder of a Chinese woman at a residence in Kohuwala.
Police said the incident occurred on March 23, 2026, at an apartment (No. 02/01) on the second floor of the Kent Residence complex, where the victim was reportedly stabbed to death.
Police have identified the main suspect as a Chinese national believed to have been the victim’s former partner.
The suspect has been named Wang Huiyin, born on June 1, 2000, holding passport numbers EE6791329 and ER3805969. Police said that he has visible injuries on the fingers of his left hand, treated with stitches.
Police released a photograph of the suspect seeking public assistance to identify the suspect.
