Police Headquarters denied media reports that the election commission had asked the Police to consider the summoning the wife and son of former Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID) Director Ravi Vidyalankara after the presidential election.

“The news story is incorrect and the Police Headquarters has not received a letter containing a directive from the Election Commission about the FCID investigation into the particular matter,” the statement said.
