Deraniyagala in the Kelani Basin recorded 163.2 mm, while Kithulgala, also in the Kelani Basin, received 112.9 mm of rain.

Meanwhile, Urawa in the Urubokka Ganga area recorded 98.8 mm, and Nawalapitiya in the Mahaweli Basin reported 95.9 mm of rainfall during the same period.

He said the heavy rains have contributed to rising water levels in several rivers, with authorities closely monitoring the situation, particularly in vulnerable and low-lying areas. Residents in flood-prone regions have been advised to remain alert and stay updated with official announcements.
