Passport applicants asked not to visit immigration offices due to system breakdown

Colombo, Feb. 12 (Daily Mirror) - The Ministry of Public Security has requested applicants for passports not to visit the Department of Immigration and Emigration at Battaramulla or any of its regional offices tomorrow, as the ongoing computer system breakdown has yet to be resolved.

In a statement, the Ministry said that normal passport services are expected to resume on Monday, February 16, once the system is fully restored. It added that priority will be given to applicants who were affected today when services recommence.

The Ministry apologized for the inconvenience caused to the public and urged applicants to cooperate until normal operations are restored.

Gam Battan showing incompetence Under no circumstances passport office can be shutt down for days. Where's those big talking ministers and BS PM !!! This is simply been ignorant. Period. We've bunch of ministers talk like they're gonna be NEXT Albert Einstein. Also some of them want to reinvent the wheel, huh. Simple problem like this cannot be resolved in timely manner cos most government members have fake qualifications. Yeah.

Can't fix the computer glitch there's absolutely no excuse other than incompetence. Where's those narcissistic bloated ego ministers Harini Vijitha Lal Kantha handunneththi Bimal Rathnayake!??? THEY want to reinvent the wheel.. one little problem gam Battan have no answers.
