There is no need to import rice as the existing stocks are sufficient till the harvest of the upcoming Maha season, Agriculture Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said.

He said this while attending a forum today at the Presidential Secretariat under the theme "Modernization".

I want clean rice grown to healthy eco organic standards. Farmer here use too much pesticide riddled which then cause kidney disease after a while to consumer. Government know this but does nothing.
