No Cabinet approval granted to cultivate Cannabis: Bandula refutes Diana’s claims



Colombo, Feb. 06 (Daily Mirror)- Refuting claims by State Minister Diana Gamage that Cabinet approval has been granted to cultivate Cannabis for export, Cabinet Spokesman Bandula Gunawardane said no such decision has been taken to cultivate Cannabis.

He told the weekly Cabinet briefing that no Cabinet paper has been submitted or any other decision taken in this regard.

"She is not a Cabinet Minister. I can't take the responsibility for a statement made by her. No Cabinet paper has been submitted to the Cabinet or any decision staken in this regard," he said.

The State Minister had told the media that Cabinet approval has been granted to cultivate cannabis for export.
