Colombo, January. 10 (Daily Mirror) - The National Communication Programme for Child Health Promotion, aimed at promoting social and behavioural change (SBCC) among early childhood children, was launched today (10) at Temple Trees under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya.
The programme is jointly organised by the Health Promotion Bureau, the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs, the Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education Ministry, UNICEF, and the Clean Sri Lanka Programme.
It focuses on strengthening public awareness and practices related to early childhood health, care and development.
Several ministers, provincial governors, senior government officials, representatives of UNICEF, preschool teachers, parents and children participated in the event.
