NPC minister assaulted in Vavuniya

 Northern Provincial Council Minister R. Indraraja (TNA) had reported to be assaulted by an unidentified gang at Ukkulankulan, Vavuniya, last night, Police said.

The minister was admitted to the Vavuniya hospital with minor injuries. The minister was assaulted while he was returning home by a motor bicycle after visiting the house of a 13-year-old girl, who had died recently in Vavuniya.
