Missing Uni. students rescued

Five university students who were missing since last evening at Saptha Kanya (Seven Virgins) were found by the Army this morning.

Four undergraduate students from the Kelaniya University and a student from the Kothelawala Defence University were reported missing during a hiking trip, due to bad weather, in the mountains yesterday.

Army personnel attached to the Lakshapana Camp commenced search operations yesterday and students were rescued this morning.

Two of the students were foreigners. (Hatton Ranjith)
