Colombo, January 16 (Daily Mirror) - The All Ceylon Restaurant and Bar Owners Association has announced a reduction in the price of a cup of milk tea by Rs.10 with effect from today (16).
Association President Harsha Rukshan said the decision was taken following the reduction in the price of imported milk powder from today.
Milk powder importers have agreed to reduce the price of a one-kilogram packet of imported milk powder by Rs.125.
Accordingly, the price of a 400-gram packet of milk powder has also been reduced by Rs.50, the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development confirmed.
Restaurant and bar owners said the benefit of the price reduction would be passed directly to consumers through the lower price of milk tea.
