Man shot dead in Chinabay

A 59-year-old man was shot dead by two unidentified men who arrived on a motorcycle at the 5th Mile Post in Chinabay, Trincomalee a short while ago.

Police said the victim, a resident of the area, died at the scene from gunshot injuries.

Investigations are underway to identify the suspects and determine the motive behind the shooting.
