Main suspect arrested over nailing and torturing two individuals to cross
The main suspect in connection with the incident of the abduction and torture of two persons in an inhumane manner for sharing a defamation post against an individual on Facebook, was arrested in Balagolla, Kandy today.
He has been arrested after being surrendered to the Balagolla Police through his lawyers.
Five police teams had been deployed to arrest the suspect and he was evading arrest for the last six days.
All the suspects in connection with the incident have been arrested and they are to be produced for an identification parade.
The two victims had been nailed to a cross by the main suspect along with eight others on June 25. (Chamil Rupasinghe)
