Colombo, Nov. 27 (Daily Mirror) - Former Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa, who was admitted to a private hospital in Colombo, is in good condition, MP Namal Rajapaksa said.
Speaking to journalists, Namal Rajapaksa said there was no cause for concern, stating that the former President’s ailment was minor.
“It’s not that big of an illness, it’s old age,” he explained, adding that the prevailing weather conditions makes anyone susceptible to colds or the flu.
He further clarified that Mahinda Rajapaksa had been hospitalised primarily to undergo several medical tests previously recommended by doctors.
“My father was hospitalised for several medical tests. We are carrying out several tests that were previously recommended by the doctors. My father’s health is good,” he assured.
