Colombo, Dec. 11 (Daily Mirror) - Parliament received a presentation today on the removal of items from the Value Added Tax (VAT) exemptions list, effective from January 1, 2024.
Domestic gas, petrol and diesel are also included in the list. Steps have been taken to add chemical fertilizers to the relevant tax list.
The comprehensive lists of both VAT-liable items and exempted items are listed below:
