United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) General Secretary Mahinda Amaraweera said today that legal action will follow if the UPFA executive council meeting is held tomorrow.

In a letter, he stated that the UPFA executive council meeting would be held tomorrow (30) at 11.30 am., chaired by former President Maithripala Sirisena. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)

This is just another Mahinda trying to protect his patch. He's against elephants and wildlife in general, yet in charge of wild life parks. Clear conflict of interest for this man with looking after agriculture and natural environment. His nephew is a known to terrorize of wild animals in National Park in big vehicle. This failure is like G.L Pieris who complained as Chairman of his party when SLPP General Sec. was supporting Ranil, over GL man Dullas.

SLFP is part of UPFA, hence when SLFP removed the Ameraweera, automatically he is out of UPFA and cannot be a Secretary of this group.
