Sad day in the history of the country.

    M Fernando Tuesday, 06 February 2024 11:58 PM

Yes. It is very unfair and frankly quite ridiculous that a Sri Lankan Minister or Politician of any rank should be compelled to resign over any kind of wrongdoing. This is completely alien to our 2500 year-old culture. KR should be re-instated immediately and be given a more important portfolio

    Mahila Wednesday, 07 February 2024 05:33 AM

Mohamed Adham Wednesday, 07 February 2024 09:33 AM

What sad day ??? Maybe for beneficiaries like yourself, but, the country would once again be in celebration mode , when this scumbag would be taken away from "hospitals" and put behind bars and injected with all the fake medicines that he made money on.

Disgusting Behaviour Tuesday, 06 February 2024 03:12 PM

He should have been suspended from ministerial position six months ago when the issues in Health Ministry were highlighted. Instead the President tried to protect this criminal till the end. This is disgraceful behaviour by the Ranil .With this leadership come 3048 we will be in the same hole.

    Ram Tuesday, 06 February 2024 03:18 PM

Keheliya would have resigned on the request of RW who did not want to remove him but wanted to receive the resignation from Keheliya himself

This is reality Tuesday, 06 February 2024 03:18 PM

    Aquarius Tuesday, 06 February 2024 04:28 PM

Some good news, but he should be held responsible for the deaths and after effects of the medications he imported. He should not be allowed to walk away just because he resigned.

    Sobers Tuesday, 06 February 2024 04:30 PM

What a disgraceful Minister cum politician. There are many others who should be prosecuted.

Consuming prison meal is no big deal Tuesday, 06 February 2024 04:31 PM

Keheliya has proved that he is a man with dignity and sensitive to public outrage. When the public demanded his resignation yesterday, he did not wait, but resigned today. We should applaud him. There was a news item that said Keheliya was allowed to get down his meals from his home. If somebody protest about this privilege, he will stop it and consume prison meals too.

Dr. Champika Tuesday, 06 February 2024 04:36 PM

See the culprit in the luxury of prison hospital sends his resignation, this joker was given another ministry upon been removed from health. It begs the question if the traveling president is worthy of his office or merely survives on the instructions of Basil.

Chinthake Mallawarachi Wednesday, 07 February 2024 02:51 AM

In true Sri Lanka style, just need his wife to declare that she is taking on his 'work'.

    C I A Wednesday, 07 February 2024 03:22 AM

As the Health Minister he had a choice as the drug shortage was not created by him and beyond his control . Either stick with the long drawn out government procurement procedures and let patients suffer or die due to the drug shortage or get the drugs to the hospitals ASAP. Purchase of quality drugs is the responsibilty of the purchasing officers and not the Minister.

    shanaka Wednesday, 07 February 2024 05:53 AM

    next please

Satiesh Sunderalingam Wednesday, 07 February 2024 07:30 AM
