Colombo, Oct. 23 (Daily Mirror) - Opposition MP Chamara Sampath Dassanayke, who dropped a bombshell in Parliament, alleged that there was a plan to kill him.

"I know you are planning to kill us. If you do, I will haunt you and seek revenge," MP Dassanayke said, directing his remark at Minister of Public Security Ananda Wijepala.

Minister Wijepala in response said neither he nor the government has any intention of killing anyone in the Opposition.

Bahu bootha katha. You should have gone to the police and not take up time in parliament for frivolous personal issues. It takes away time from representing your constituents. If MPs want to act like kids they should not hold public office.

Judging from Minister Sampath's size, it is likely that he will die of natural causes before anyone even bothers about him being important or annoying enough to want to assassinate ! Sadly, another minister full of hos own importance !
