IRD achieves annual revenue target by December 19: Commissioner General



Colombo, Dec. 22 (Daily Mirror) - The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has achieved the annual revenue target of Rs. 2,203 billion assigned by the Government for 2025 by December 19, Commissioner General Rukdevi P. H. Fernando said.

Issuing a statement, she said this marks the highest-ever revenue collection in the history of the IRD. She added that steps will be taken to further augment revenue in the remaining days of the year.

The Commissioner General expressed her sincere appreciation to taxpayers for contributing to this achievement through the payment of taxes, both directly and indirectly. She also extended her gratitude to the staff of the IRD, as well as officers of other public and private sector institutions, for their dedication and support in reaching the milestone.
