Minister of Tourism Harin Fernando and Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkkara have filed expulsion petitions before the Supreme Court challenging the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) for expelling their party memberships.

The two Ministers are seeking a declaration that they have not ceased to be Members of Parliament and that they continue to be and shall remain Members of Parliament.

These petitions have been filed through Attorney-at-law Dinesh Vidanapathirana and Priyangika Jayawickrama of Vidanapathirana Associates. (Lakmal Sooriyagoda)
