Handcuffed man found dead in the Kelani River
A handcuffed male body has been found floating in the Kelani River in the Ranala area in Navagamuwa this afternoon, police said.
They said the deceased is suspected to be around 50 years old.
The man was handcuffed and found with two bullet wounds in his head.
Police suspect that the man was killed and then dumped in the river.
The Hanwella Police had received a complaint that a person had been abducted on June 23 by a group at a house in Hanwella after being handcuffed.
Police also suspect that the deceased might be the abducted person.
