Government prioritises establishment of additional laboratories for medicine testing

Colombo,January 13 (Daily Mirror) - The government is prioritising the establishment of additional laboratories needed for medicine testing, the Health Ministry and Mass Media Secretary, Dr. Anil Jasinghe said. 

He said while medical tests are conducted when there are complaints on medicines, the current testing process is not sufficient.

"The government has taken steps to establish one or two additional laboratories. While Sri Lanka is a small country, its health and medical processes are larger and more extensive compared to those of other countries," Dr. Jasinghe said.
