Four suspects escape from Kurunegala Prison, one arrested
Four suspects,who were remanded at the Kurunegala Prison have escaped, Prisons Spokesman Chandana Ekanayake said.
He said one suspect was arrested in Wellawa during a search operation conducted by prison officials.
All the suspects were remanded yesterday over theft and in possession of narcotics.
Prison officials and the police have launched a search operation to arrest the escaped detainees, the spokesman said.
