Four arrested over Tangalle cop murder

Tangalle Police have arrested four suspects in connection with the slaying of a police constable in Vitharandeniya,Tangalle.

The 34-year-old policeman was attached to the Kasagala Entrance to the Southern Expressway hacked to death during a brawl erupted over a land dispute between two factions. His brother was also critically injured in the melee.

Police said a woman was also among the arrested four suspects into the incident.

Police said the main suspect and 15 others involved in the incident have been identified.
