Fisherfolk should not always depend on fuel subsidy: Minister

Colombo, Nov.26 (Daily Mirror)- Fisherfolk should not always be dependent on fuel subsidies, Minister of Fisheries Ramalingam Chandrasekar told Parliament today.
He said the government intends transforming fisherfolk into successful entrepreneurs who could help others to build their livelihoods.
"The government has already launched a programme to fulfil this objective," he added.
