Why not any of the government officials pay attention to the roads in Matale, Rattota and Riverston areas? Those areas are known as one of the most beautiful in Sri Lanka, yet the poor conditions of the roads keep away local and foreign tourists alike. Some like to drive their own vehicles in such areas mainly because it's really enjoyable.

How much rain will this road last? Usually, it is the number of years before which a road has to be resurfaced, but in SL, it is counted in days.

Why so much fan fare? Stop spending money on these lavish openings? See how many useless politicians and government officials there? Do they need such grand openings? How much money was spent there for those festivities? Put that money too to build another road.

we can not understand the praiseworthy jobs of the SLPP is not commended but criticism is what levelled against them, they are so unfortunate as many rogues who devastated Sri Lanka are praised by rogues themselves, but the intelligent general public are still willing to elect Rajapaksas,as only savior of Sri Lanka, cripling the ruthless LTTE -TERRORISM in Sri Lanka.

Will anyone indicate how much has been spent on plaques by corrupt leaders to remember them. Not one but three in all languages. These must be removed as public funds were used. Plaques must come if they spent their money.

Road improvement projects are expected in any government. No need to place all those advertisement boards showing politicians involved and also for them to be there physically in the opening ceremonies. So much wastage on resources and money to install such boards, plaques and manpower for politicians to be there.

Why ministers are going to open the roads. They have done using our tax money and they get the publicity. Also why there are huge boards with president and ministers photos. They should be focusing on making right laws to our country. Not wasting time going to opening ceremonies.
