Chamika Karunaratne was fined 5,000 USD after he pleaded guilty for breaching several clauses in his Player Agreement during the recently concluded ICC T20 World Cup.

Karunaratne, who was omitted from the provisional Sri Lanka squad for the ODI series against Afghanistan, was also handed a one year ban from all forms of cricket, suspended for one year, after he pleaded guilty for all charges levelled against him.

These hot-heads should realize that they are representing our country on these tours, especially a world cup, and therefore must maintain the highest levels of discipline!!! Ban him from the game for a year and teach them a lesson. Discipline above all else!
