Colombo, January 29 (Daily Mirror) - Filling stations attached to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) have displayed apology banners at outlets across the country, citing reduced discounts as the reason for operational difficulties.
The banners inform customers that a cut in the discount provided to CPC filling stations has affected their ability to continue operations at a level that fully meets customer needs. As a result, several outlets have acknowledged that they are facing challenges in maintaining services as before.
Filling station managements said the reduction has led to increased operational pressure, making it difficult to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery. They noted that customers may experience certain shortcomings during this period due to the financial constraints faced by the outlets.
Expressing regret over the situation, the management of the filling stations extended sincere apologies to customers for any inconvenience caused and for any deficiencies in services provided so far.
They said that the circumstances were beyond their immediate control and assured customers that efforts are being made to manage the situation under the prevailing conditions.
