Elderly person beaten to death with stick

A 67-year-old person was beaten to death with a stick at his residence on Jampettah Street, Colombo 13, police said.
According to information received by the police, the victim had been living in his house alone and was identified as De Jestine Fernando. His body with injuries was found inside his residence.
Police also said that someone had entered the house and assaulted him to death with a stick.
