Colombo, Sepr. 26 (Daily Mirror) - Driving licences and number plates with new features will be issued by the Department of Registration of Motor Traffic (DMT) soon, Transport Minister Bimal Ratnayake told Parliament today.

At the same time, the Minister said the DMT is hampered by various software service  providers. 

"There are instances where the DMT has paid Rs. 100 million for web development though it could have been done at a cost of Rs. 5 million," the Minister said.
