Comet ‘Lemon’ visible in evening skies: Scientist

By Pavithrani Mangala

Comet ‘C/2025 A6’, also known as Lemon, can currently be observed in the evening skies, space scientist Gihan Weerasekara announced.

He said the comet is visible near the horizon for about 30 to 45 minutes from around 6.30 p.m., shortly after sunset.

The comet can be easily seen from Sri Lanka’s western coast on clear evenings when there is no rain, he added.

The comet was named Lemon after the Lemon Observatory in the United States, where it was first discovered.
