Colombo, January 5 (Daily Mirror) - The Department of Examinations has announced that conducting coaching or tuition classes targeting the 2025 GCE Advanced Level (A/L) Examinations will be prohibited from midnight tomorrow (6).
Examinations Commissioner General A.K.S. Indika Kumari Liyanage said that organising or conducting subject-oriented lectures, seminars or classes, as well as printing and distributing examination-oriented question papers, will be strictly banned during this period. She added that providing publicity through electronic media, posters or banners claiming to offer likely or similar examination questions within five days prior to the examinations is also prohibited.
The remaining subjects of the 2025 GCE A/L examinations will be held from January 12 to 20 at 2,362 examination centres across the country.
The Commissioner General warned that legal action will be taken against individuals or institutions that violate these regulations. Members of the public are encouraged to report such violations to the nearest Police Station, the Department of Examinations, or through the following contact numbers:

The Department urged all candidates, parents and institutions to strictly adhere to the regulations to ensure the integrity of the examination process.
