The Civil Aviation Authority denied paying a single cent on behalf of any ceremony held at the airport on the day of Mr Basil Rajapaksa’s arrival. Former Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa arrived at the BIA last Sunday through the VIP lounge service and it was reported that the bill had not been paid for refreshments served at the occassion

An evil that is often found in Sri Lanka. It starts with the policeman who doesn't pay in the small shop or in the brothel, through Excise officers who drink for free in restaurants and health inspectors who don't pay for their meals in canteens. Mahinda doesn't pay the CTB bill for buses he hired for the election campaign and Basil now doesn't pay for his "VIP" reception. The whole country is corrupt from the bottom to the top.
