Chinese Ambassador meets Ranil

Colombo, Sept. 12 (Daily Mirror) - Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong has held a special meeting with former President Ranil Wickremesinghe in Colombo.

The meeting has been held at Wickremesinghe’s political office on Flower Road where they have discussed local and geopolitics.

This meeting took place one day after the Chinese Ambassador met Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Please know correct facts before talking stereotypical bullshit. At the 2022 financial crisis, out of the US$ 34.8 billion foreign debt, only around 10% was to China. Balance 90% was to the ones whom you like.

This is geopolitics at play. China is a great country but they supported a corrupt government in Rajapakse because they wanted us to default in payments so that we come under their firm control. Ranil too is aligned with it because all he needs is power. China can easily make this happen if RW agrees to come under their will. Nothing is free in this world and even the West operate this way too. China found Rajapakse, easy bait and they gave him enough money on expensive terms knowing very well a good part of it will not be ploughed into development yielding a return to pay debts but to line the Rajapakse pockets. If AKD doesn’t fall in line with China he can get deposed.
