Cement prices surge amid current crisis



Colombo, March 24 (Daily Mirror) - The price of a bag of cement has risen sharply due to the ongoing economic crisis, building material sellers confirmed.

According to market sources, the cost of a single bag of cement has increased by approximately Rs. 175, bringing the current retail price to Rs. 2,250.

Industry insiders also noted that the prices of other construction materials, including sand and stone, have already climbed in response to the crisis, putting additional pressure on builders and homeowners.
