Who said that the island is bankrupt?

Still a Bankrupt Country Tuesday, 02 April 2024 02:33 PM

They are bankrupt coz yet to pay the over US$60 Billion and monthly adding new loans plus interest until end of next year. At the moment they have collected new loans plus some other sources of revenue like taxes and able to splurge for sometime until the loans are due for payments again.

We are bankrupt no doubt because we don't own a single aircraft. Since inception 40 years ago the country's airline has never owned a single aircraft but only second hand fron other sources. Sometime ago I had the opportunity of taking a connecting flight from Kuala Lumpur to Colombo on a Air Lanka flight which was rattling all the way previously owned by Royal Jordanian Air. Fortunately I ended up safely in one piece at my destinnation. They say borrowed feathers never shine.

Give the CEO of Sri Lankan Airlines ( Mr Nuttall) a “free hand” without ministerial interference and we will have a world class and profitable airline, we can all be proud of.

Sri Lankan air line is a liability to our country. Ask Mahinda Rajapakse he will tell you the truth.. There is no way our airline will make a profit until such time these uneducated politicians allowed the airline to run without these idiots involvement
