Bus fares set to rise as diesel price surge exceeds 10% threshold

Colombo, March 22 (Daily Mirror) - The National Transport Commission (NTC) has said that the recent increase in the price of Lanka Auto Diesel, when applied to the bus fare formula, has pushed current bus fares up by more than 10 percent.

In a statement, NTC Director General Dr. Nilan Miranda said Cabinet approval is scheduled for tomorrow to implement the revised bus fares in line with the formula.
