Awareness session on new online system at Colombo Port on March 31



Colombo, March 29 (Daily Mirror) - An awareness session will be held on March 31, to educate the trading community and other stakeholders on a new online mechanism aimed at preventing malpractices at the NCT Exit Gate of the Colombo Port.

The programme is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. and will be conducted under the patronage of the Director General of Customs, Mr. Seevali Arukgoda.

The session will focus on introducing the proposed digital system, which is expected to be implemented in the near future to enhance transparency and streamline operations at the port. Clearing agents, transport operators, and other related stakeholders are among those invited to participate.

Sri Lanka Customs Media Spokesman Chandana Punchihewa urged all relevant parties to attend the session, highlighting its importance in ensuring awareness and smooth adoption of the new system.
