At least 9 killed, over 20 injured after bus topples into river at Manampitiya

From where we bought these buses from ? China,Japan, Britain, or USA. No,not at all. All the buses we have are from India. Someone could argue that it is the fault of the bus drivers and nothing to do with the buses itself. That argument does not hold when in each accident the buses are falling like pack of cards. It is not the accidents that are killing our passengers but the reality that the buses are losing control on impact and falling on their sides. It is the substandard “ Indian Chapati “ engineering that is causing so many deaths in each of the accidents. Nine people loosing their lives in a single accident is horrendous, but this is not the first time , it is happening with the Indian made buses in our streets all the time. All those who are using daily mirror comment sections to pedal Indian propagandas, I wish to see you and your families travel across Sri Lanka frequently in your beloved INDIAN BUSES.

@ Dinesh ,Priyan66- these accidents happen due to : 1) Ecessive speed, 2) Driver falling a sleep on the wheel due to tiredness, 3) Drink driving 4) Over loaded vehicles. There should be speed cameras which is quite expensive in SL. Thus best is road traffic police on roads riding their motorcycles day and night. Whether you are obsessed with India or any other country, the causes are as mentioned.

@ Traffic Inspector of “No Toilet India” ; with every accident the buses toppling over after impact is not 21st century technology. This is rubbish Indian technology . Over hundred Sri Lankan passengers have died over the last one year alone due to Indian made buses , yet you have the courage to defend Indian tecnology and blame it on our Sri Lankan drivers. Daily Mirror has no respect for the Sri Lankans who have died so far in these accidents , that is why you are allowing these starving Indian agents to comment.
