It was more than a night of indulgence, indeed, as Cinnamon Lakeside welcomed the dawn of 2010. From the King's Court Ballroom to The Lounge, from 7 Degrees North to the restaurants, the entire hotel was ablaze with festivity, good cheer and happy revellers.

The main event for the night was The Lakeside Ball at the King's Court Ballroom, with popular band, Flame, and DJ Udi in attendance which enabled the crowd to party well past 5 am. Meanwhile, 7 Degrees North, with an international buffet and great ambience, also enjoyed tremendous popularity, and music by Rebels and a DJ kept guests on their toes.

The Lounge Revel - open to diners from the restaurants as well as to guests to the Sushi Bar - also kept the lobby buzzing with activity, accompanied by music courtesy of Quest and Best. Merrymakers at The Dining Room were treated to a lavish dinner buffet created by Executive Chef Wasantha Peiris and his brigade, while those at the Royal Thai and Long Feng had their share of food with the set menus created by the specialty chefs of the hotel.

The highlight of the night was the fireworks display. A few minutes after midnight, which lit up the waters of the Beira Lake and the night sky as literally hundreds of guests paused their revelry to watch and wish each other 'Happy 2010'.
