12th Covid-19 death reported in Sri Lanka

A 47-year-old woman, who returned from India and being treated at the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) has died due to Covid-19, reporting the 12th death from the virus infection in Sri Lanka, the Health Ministry said.

She was reportedly suffering from a heart condition.

Our covid numbers will never see the end because of the airline NOT requesting for a PCR test before boarding on to the flight into Sri Lanka.

We have lost one person since the last death some months ago, but in India over 900 people have died of covid in the last 24 hours alone.
