U-19 Cricket Tourney Ton-up Ahan puts Royal in control

An unbeaten century by Sri Lanka Youth player Ahan Wickramasinghe helped Royal College, Colombo to gain the edge over Prince of Wales College at the end of the first day’s play in their Under-19 Division One 2-day Cricket Tournament pre quarter-final encounter played at Reid Avenue yesterday.   


Royal taking first lease of the wicket made a modest 215 runs in their first innings and Prince of Wales in their turn were in a spot of bother at 108 for five.   
Royal: 215 (Kamil Mishara 24, Isiwara Dissanayake 21, Ahan Wickrmasinghe 113 n.o, Naduka Fernando 3/48, Kunchana Perera 2/23)   


Prince of Wales: 108/5 (Omesh Mendis 23, Tharindu Amarasinghe 21, Kavinda de Mel 22 n.o, Pasindu Pathum 22 n.o, Gishan Balasooriya 3/19, Thevindu Senaratne 2/15).
