Seven Athletes to take part at Thai Open Meet

The Athletic Association of Sri lanka (AASL) will send a seven-member athletic team to participate at the Thai Open track and field athletic championships,from May 18-21 in Bangkok, Thailand. Sri Lanka’s squad is consists of 4 men and 3 women, with the contingent leaving today (May 16).

The contingent consists of A.M.L.P. Gunaratne (Men’s 400m), Roshan Dhammika Ranathunge (Men’s 110m Hurdles), A.L.I. Rathnasena (400m Hurdles), M.H.I. Sandaruwan (Men’s Pole Vault), W.V.L. Sugandhi (Women’s 100m Hurdles), Sarangi Silva (Women’s Long Jump) and G.A.S. Dulani (Women’s 400m Hurdles).

S.P. Wasantha Kumara will travel as Manager and the contingent will be coached by Thiron I Gamage. -SP
