SL lose to Oman in ACC Emerging Cup opener

An unbeaten 131 in 150 balls inclusive of 13 boundaries and a six by Jatinder Singh helped Oman Emerging XI to pull off a thrilling four-wicket win against the defending champions Sri Lanka Emerging XI in their ACC Asia Emerging Cup Cricket Tournament opening encounter played at Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh on Thursday (14).

Jatinder added 148 runs for the fifth-wicket with Suraj Kumar (78) as Oman recovered from 90 for four to reach their target with seven balls to spare.

Earlier Sri Lanka Emerging XI invited to take first lease of the wicket were given a sound start by the openers Pathum Nissanka and Minod Bhanuka.

In addition, Ashen Bandara (62) and Skipper Charith Asalanka (57) also made useful contributions as Sri Lanka Emerging made 268 from their 50 overs.
