St. Joseph’s College cruised to their third successive win in the Under-19 Inter-Schools League Rugby Tournament when they demolished Zahira College by 47 points to five points in their match played at Havelock Park today (15).

The Josephians having taken a commanding 28-0 lead at the breather, made up their points through five goals, one penalty try and a try against the solitary try scored by the Zahirians.

In the first half, winger Tharindu Maduranga, scrum half Rashen Gunawardena, fly half Santhush Algama and winger Sudaraka Devapriya scored a try each for the Josphians with Algama converting four tries.

In the second half, the Josephians succeeded in planting two tries through flanker Nahen Perera and Skipper and number eight Tharindu de Alwis while fly half Algama was successful in making one conversion.
