Former Antonian flanker Imran Bisthamin weds

Former St. Anthony's College, Kandy SC and Sri Lanka player, Imran Bisthamin married Riheema Jamaldeen late last month.

Bisthamin was forced to retire prematurely from rugby after an injury to his spinal code following a fall.

He was one of the best rugby players to come out of St. Anthony’s College, later playing for the champion, Kandy Sports Club.

Bisthamin played as Number 8 and flanker for both his school and club.

He also played cricket for the Antonians outfit till Under-17 level before giving up cricket for rugby.

He first played for his school in 2003 and led the outfit in 2004 before playing for Kandy for five years.

Bisthamin also represented the national youth outfit and the senior team in rugby football.
