A book to mark the 100 years of Sri Lanka athletics authored by University of Kelaniya Director Sports and Sri Lanka Athletics (SLA) Data Analyst Saman Kumara Gunawardane was launched at the Sport Museum auditorium.
In its 100-year athletic history (1922-2022), Sri Lanka is the first country in South Asia to win medals at the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, World Athletic Championship, Asian Athletic Championship and South Asian Athletic Championship.

The 500-page book written in English contains events, results and medals won during Sri Lanka’s athletic history.
