Adidas sponsors Colombo Athletics City Marathon

The world renowned sports brand adidas, recently sponsored the Colombo Athletics City Marathon which was held on 26 April 2015 at the Colombo Racecourse. The marathon covered a distance of 42.195 km and started from the Colombo Racecourse, covering High Level Road, Battaramulla, Borella, Colpetty, the Khan Clock Tower, Colombo Fort and ending at the Racecourse grounds.

The event was conducted under four categories; the full marathon (men and women), school goers (boys and girls), the mini marathon and the team challenge. The marathon saw a large amount of participation and the winners of each category were awarded cash prizes.

Commenting on the sponsorship Milad Jayman, adidas Sales Manager Sri Lanka stated, “adidas is proud to be a sponsor of the Colombo Athletics City Marathon, which is one of the most popular sports events in the city.
