During this  era, using the internet for distance learning has become very popular. What was once only popular among higher education can be seen getting even popular  in today’s School’s Education System.  Exploring this environment  Applestrength Business Partners has taken the initiative to launch a distance learning web application  which will be completed in 4 Stages to assist school children to complete homework & assignments. Stage 1 "The Image Gallery" was successfully launched  recently with his grace Rev. Fr. Ranjith Madurawala, General Manager of Private Catholic School’s Education.  We trust that the program which has been structured giving reference to the prevailing educational syllabus will assist teachers, students & parents to great heights.

This educational program developed thru information technology can be accessed thru . This module can be used as a tool to complete homework , assignments and also to practice what is learnt in a class-room environment.

The program is structured to provide 14,000 images which will be required by grades 1-5 & higher grades students filtered in to smaller groups to fasten search so that once registered parents could find & print images required without leaving home or office. The site can be even used by children as it only holds images which has been screened for suitability. These images will be further strengthen by a brief documentary to give additional information which will be required for varied needs from time to time.
Since phase I of this program was focused on homework & assignments, Stage 2 "The e-library" will focus on further strengthening the documentary segment. Finding documentaries in Sinhala language thru electronic media has been one of the biggest challenges faced by school children.  In conquering this challenge we have given special emphasis to provide all documentaries in both Sinhala & English language.  A separate segment to cover requirements of Nursery children & Teachers have also been covered in this phase, where they could find Nursery Rhymes, Coloring sheets, Shapes & Pictures.

Then in its 3rd Stage on "Examinations", where it will facilitate a hub of past papers for 5 years collected from Colombo schools which have been  conducted by Zonal Educational Office & Provincial Education Department, structured giving reference to year, grade, medium, subject & term. The program will be focused on grades 2 to 11. However development works  will commence targeting  grades 2-5 initially.

homeTutor will develop a MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) module in its 4th Stage,  with the assistance of trained teachers & lecturers concentrating on 6 main subjects. This module will operate as an online examination module where students will be asked to complete & submit  a paper within a set time frame to receive corrected answer scripts along with the correct answer for unsuccessful attempts within a very short-time.  This tool will greatly help students, teachers & parents to assess’ their knowledge. We believe that this system will become very popular specially among teachers as most of Colombo schools are equipped with computer labs and intend to provide them with a link in future to enhance usability.

Mr. Noel Godfred of Applestrength Business Partners said, “ We are developing this program with intentions of enhancing opportunities to find information which school children require on a daily basis and to help them assess their own knowledge gained in a classroom environment. Competition has become very demanding in todays education which is a good sign as it produces more skilled students to the economy. In this environment we believe that we should support our children, “The future of Sri Lanka”, by introducing new terminologies developed thru information technology, so that they could bring the universe to their doorstep when it comes to information.

This project is your project and can only be developed and strengthen by input and support of its users. Your input will help us understand your requirements much effectively. We will take all efforts needed to provide an effective, fruitful service to all parents, students & teachers who join us thru continuous developments & upgrades".

This web application can only be used by registered members and by logging into you could get more information about our products and Registration process.
