Rs. 3M robbed

Two men who allegedly waylaid the manager of a private educational institute and robbed him of Rs.3.3 million at gun point were taken into custody by Mount Lavinia police. The manager was walking to the bank when the suspects robbed him of the bag and fled by trishaw. A resident of the area who witnessed the robbery provided the registration number of the trishaw that led to the arrest of the suspects. OIC Crme Investigations Branch SI Eric Rohitha, SI. W.G.A.Gunawardene , Sergeant 24607 Wimalasurendra, PCs 83797 Dinesh, 88815 Sandaruwan, are conducting further investigations on the instructions of ASP J.M.P.Jayalath and SSP Ravindra Karavita.
